Successful and purposeful meeting of State Labor Inspectorate and Baltic Scaffolders Association representatives
Up till now the abbreviation of letters SLI (State Labor Inspectorate) meant to be only the worries and troubles for many entrepreneurs. However, we can surely say that with time everything changes.
Today Baltic Scaffolders Association (BSA) met with representatives of the Lithuania’s Chief Labor Inspector Jonas Gricius. During the meeting, they have discussed the possibilities for cooperation and jointly carry out related projects. Altogether they discussed how the safety of the construction work could be significantly improved, what actions should be made for the construction sector and the profession to become more attractive and more valued in society as well as to raise the professional qualifications of the employees and inspectors. BSA has promised to organize various seminars for SLI inspectors frequently and to help them raise the qualification.
BSA together with SLI agreed to create the standards of safe scaffolding assembly processes.
The parties unambiguously agreed on most important common goal – each employee must return home! Both parties hope that today’s meeting is just the beginning of purposeful cooperation, which will lead to increasing the safety of construction work.
